Reflecting its pioneering role in community service and in line with Al-Hussein Bin Talal University's vision of empowering the community with academic and practical expertise, the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences actively participated in the health initiative "My Health is My Life 2," organized by the Directorate of Education in the Shoubak District.
The faculty's participation featured a series of educational and medical activities, demonstrating the synergy between its various departments. The highlights included:
Dean's Lecture: The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Suleiman Al-Naimat, delivered an insightful lecture titled "Health Vaccines: Between Truth and Digital Misinformation," highlighting the critical importance of vaccines and debunking related rumors.
Department of Physical Therapy: Dr. Walid Saber presented an interactive lecture titled "Your Posture... The Secret to Your Health," focusing on the importance of correct body mechanics for spinal and overall physical health.
Department of Radiography: Supervisor Salsabeel Abu Hayana, alongside a group of students, delivered a presentation to correct "Misconceptions About the Radiology Major." This included a simplified practical explanation of various radiological devices and their medical applications.
Department of Medical Analysis: In collaboration with TrueLab Laboratories, students from the department conducted a variety of precise medical and laboratory tests for the initiative's attendees.
At the conclusion of the event, the organizers and attendees highly appreciated the significant efforts made by the faculty's staff and students in spreading health awareness and providing medical services. Participants were honored with shields and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the success of the initiative.
