Welcome to the official webpage of the Department of Computer Information Systems (CIS) at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University.
Established in 2009, the Department of Computer Information Systems was founded to keep pace with the rapid advancements in information technology. The department has obtained program accreditation from the Higher Education Accreditation Commission and Quality Assurance Commission (HEAC) of Jordan.
The department is committed to advancing scientific research, integrating research with teaching, responding to the needs of the local and regional community, and promoting knowledge dissemination. It also strives to prepare highly qualified graduates equipped with the knowledge, technical competencies, and professional skills required to excel in today's competitive job market.
Our academic programs provide students with a strong foundation in both theoretical and applied aspects of computer information systems. Through a comprehensive curriculum that combines academic excellence with practical applications, students gain the expertise needed to utilize modern technologies effectively. The department emphasizes hands-on learning within an interactive educational environment that enhances students' technical abilities, problem-solving skills, and professional readiness.
The Department of Computer Information Systems currently consists of six faculty members holding Ph.D. degrees, including three Full Professors and three Associate Professors, in addition to three instructors holding Master's degrees and one departmental secretary.
