Dr. Aida Mhagir Abu Tayeh Associate Professor at the College of Educational Sciences, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University. She holds a PhD from Mutah University (2015) with a specialization in the Sociology of Crime. She possesses extensive academic and research experience in various fields of sociology, in addition to eight years of professional experience in developmental media. She has held several academic and administrative positions at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, including Director of the Women and Youth Division, Head of the Youth Development Unit, and Academic Researcher at both the Center for Studies and Community Development and the Princess Basma Center for Intangible Cultural Heritage. She has also participated in a range of community-based research projects, including those focused on social inclusion, oral history, and intangible heritage. Dr. Abu Tayeh has a substantial record of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed Arab and international journals, addressing issues related to violence, women, youth, values, heritage, and development. She has delivered numerous lectures and scientific seminars both within the university and externally, and has participated in local and international conferences. She also possesses strong professional training experience and holds international certifications as an accredited trainer in active citizenship and dialogic (educational) learning. Her academic and research interests center on women’s and youth issues, identity, values and violence, community development, oral heritage, and social and cultural anthropology.
