Welcome to the Department of Archaeology at Petra College for Tourism and Archaeology.

The Department of Archeology was founded in 2004 to achieve the philosophy "We strive for excellence" which adopted by Al Hussein Bin Talal University since its establishment. Department of archaeology provide students with the necessary specialized knowledge in the fields of archeology and tourism.

The Department offers undergraduate programs in:

1.     Archaeology

2.     Tourism Management

3.     Tourism Management/ Tourism guidance.

The Department also offers two postgraduate programs:

1.     Masters in Cultural Heritage

2.     Master in Tourism Management.

The study plans for these specializations and programs have been prepared in a way that suits the needs of the local market. It ensures that students are provided with modern knowledge in the fields of archeology, cultural heritage and tourism. Which help to prepare qualified graduated students capable of engaging in the local and international labor markets. Students have the necessary knowledge to develop their skills in preparing scientific research, keep acquaintance of the latest developments in archeology and tourism. Although our programs focus on the practical training aspect that helps students acquire their expertise.

The section includes a distinguished elite of faculty members who have the highest degrees from the most prestigious universities in their specialization.
