Overview


Vision:

The department aims to develop skilled human resources in the field of accounting within the education and specialized training. Since its establishment in the academic year 2004/2005, and in conjunction with the creation of the College of Business Administration and Economics, the department has introduced several academic programs at the undergraduate level, including Accounting, Financial and Banking Sciences, Risk Management and Insurance. The department also offers a Master's degree in Financial and Banking Sciences, and a Master's program in Accounting. The department is staffed by a distinguished faculty with high competence in scientific research and practical experience.

 

Mission:

The Accounting and Financial Sciences and Banking Department seeks to qualify and prepare students for various accounting and banking positions. This is achieved by creating an intellectual environment that enables students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the practice of accounting as a profession in both the public and private sectors, in a professional and ethical manner, to achieve success in the changing accounting and banking environment.

 

Objectives:

The department aims to:

1. Provide educational experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students based on practical accounting theories in the local and global business environment.

2. Guide students to develop their intellectual and professional skills in the field of accounting.

3. Interact with the public and private sectors to continuously improve university accounting programs and postgraduate studies.
