Computer Skills II-Visual Basic

Course Description:

This is the second course in computer skills, intended for none engineering and science students. It is an introduction to Visual Basic (VB) programming. Topics include: Principles of visual and event-driven programming. Description of VB development environment & tools, design and run modes, data types and arrays, sequence, controls and looping structures, built-in functions, user-defined types, procedures & functions, designing forms and menus, working with multiple files and forms. Managing projects, manipulating disk files, designing and manipulating database tables. Some advanced features in Visual Basic are also included. Practical work for three hours weekly is also included.
