Teaching Students with Special Needs

Course Description:

This course provides students with the basic knowledge of teachings children with special needs. Furthers, it provides students with knowledge of the basic concepts of special education and special children, and the relationship between them. The course discusses different categories of special education that include mental retardation, visual impairment, hearing impairment, physical impairment, emotional and behavioral disorders, learning disabilities, communication disorders, and so forth. The discussion of these groups includes causes of each disability, characteristic, service delivery, and new trends and methods dealing with them.
