Course Description:

This course deals with the concept of children's literature in terms of its nature, foundation, development history through the ages, the main objectives of children's literature, various literature genre such as story, drama, poems, features, content, teaching methods, evaluation, types of books for children and their respective characteristics, methods of evaluation, the issues of children's literature such as language and methods of development, stages of growth, age and the relationship with readers and the development of vocabulary, standards, testing and evaluation in terms of form and content and its relationship with the elements of a successful literary work, transfer means of children's literature such as audio, visual and written. This course analyzes some literary classics in children's literature internationally and in the Arab world and locally, and comparison study of the development of children's literature in Jordan.
