Course Description:

This course deals with the principles of life sciences, earth and space sciences, in terms of classification of organisms and their characteristics, needs, and relationships among them. This course deals with cell, tissue, organs and systems, and the human body, health, plants and their characteristics, genetics, and developments in biology such as genetic engineering and cloning and map genes and genetically engineered food. This course deals with components of the universe characteristics and its inception, the earth, the sun, the moon, geological processes, meteorology and its role in human life. In addition this course deals with the methods of teaching these topics, and highlight the action-oriented and constructivist teaching methods based on it such as cooperative education and conceptual maps, and scientific projects.
