Course Description:

This course deals with the concept of educational communication its elements and components. The course discuses audio-visual teaching aids, in terms of their characteristics, significance, classification, use, selection criteria, relationship to technology, and its role in the processes of learning and education. This course discuses the impact of cognition and communication in the design of educational materials of all kinds such as transparencies, slides, audio tapes and video tapes, and computer. On the practical side the foundations of teaching aids are covered, with practical application about the design, production, and use of educational materials in various academic settings with a focus on the use of application software in the computer field.
